We support Alice Every day
who is alice?
You know ALICE. You see ALICE every day. ALICE is the childcare worker at your daycare, the cashier at your supermarket, the aging parent on Social Security, your child’s teacher, the server at your favorite restaurant, or the office clerk who keeps things running. They are essential members of our community, yet they struggle to make ends meet.
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
ALICE families are hardworking but live just one emergency away from financial crisis. An unexpected medical bill, car repair, or lost paycheck can push them beyond already stretched budgets.
In Northwest Florida, many households — including ALICE families — face these challenges every day. United Way Northwest of Northwest Florida works to change that by connecting people to resources, programs, and support systems that build financial stability and community strength.
Together, we can make resilience possible for ALICE and for all of Northwest Florida.
DISASTER RECOVERY
Preparation is only part of the journey. When disaster does strike, the UWNWFL is here to provide immediate relief, connect families to critical resources, and support Bay County through recovery.
COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
Preparation is the first step, but true strength comes from resilience. Beyond responding to crises, the United Way helps Northwest Florida build lasting connections, supportive programs, and stronger families so our community can thrive every day.
